Default '91 Lariat rattling

Hey guys, need some help with my dad's truck. New here, but not new to forums or cars. It's a 1991 F-150 Lariat 302 5.0L with an auto trans. Recently just helped him replace the steering column and the next day started having some rattling issues. Sounds like metal on metal, and it starts right as soon as the engine starts. To me it sounds like it's coming from the transmission so I was thinking the flexplate is loose but he said he checked that out yesterday and all the bolts seem tight. Any input would be awesome as I have been letting him take my VW to work since the truck is his daily driver. Thanks in advance.

Will check it out, but he says it started making the noise before the steering column was replaced, just wasn't nearly as loud. I'll try to get a video up of the sound it's making later today.
