90' F150 4x4 shifts in and out but doesn't lock hubs
My truck shifts into 4x4 but front diff doesn't engage .I can put in 4x4 low and gear ratio changes but like I say it doesn't power the front axle. I have the top hat style auto hubs. Any suggestions

Top hat hub locks were only used in '87-early '88, and they were only manual.
