1996 f150 5.0 e4OD overdrive light flashing
So i have never had this truck on the road because it was a project truck and i took it out today to get gas and my overdrive light was blinking it has never done this before. the tranny shifted fine the motor ran fine no hard shifts or anything. any ideas on why its blinking ? Any help is appreciated?

Dylan, this will not help but, my 95 F150 4x4 does the same thing once it shifts from 1st to 2nd gear. Tranny shop said it was not the tranny but the truck. I took it to a Mechanic and he said it was not the truck but the tranny! Engine runs fine and the tranny works fine. I can still shut the overdrive off with the button so I am just driving mine until it breaks. (260,000 miles)

The instrument cluster has nothing to do with the overdrive light (TCIL).
