1991 F150 4x4 drivetrain problem.
Hi. I am having an issue with my truck. It has an E4OD transmission and the BW13-56 transfer case.
After starting the truck the column gear selector will move through the range, but none of the gears actually engage. I can roll the truck while selector in park. if I do roll the truck about 6 ft,,sometimes it will go into gear and drive fine until I change gears. Any ideas? Ps. fluids full.Thanks

sounds like linkage disconnect in either the regular shift or in the 4x4 shift. Be careful as you check the linkage while a friend moves the levers ...you might check the wiring to the 4x4, if it is solenoid, I don't recall the '91...my '92 has a solenoid on the 4x4 and automatic hubs. Yours may different.
IF not here, then shift pawl in to the valve body or the valve body.
