Default 1991 302 Fuel pump quit

1991 f150 302 efi. Fuel pump quit working. Usual suppects - fuel pump, relays, and fuses. Pulled fuel pump and tested on bench and worked. Checked fuel pump relay and it "clicked" with 12 volts. Thought about the distributor and coil but I replaced them not to long ago. Tried the wiring for the missing rear gas tank on the fuel pump which did'nt work either. Looked for cut-off switch under the dash but 91 did not come with it. Finally, found a wire on the fuel pump relay that was "hot" when the key was on. Ran a wire from that "hot" relay along the frame to the middle tank fuel pump wiring. Spliced the "hot" wire to the wiring harness and sodered it on. Left the ground wires, and fuel gauge wire as it was. Fuel pump now working as usual. Never did find out what "cut" the power to that one wire that powers the fuel pump. By the way, I ckecked every ground too.

91 definitely did come with a cutoff or "inertia" switch. So the fuel pump doesn't keep going and pump gas all over you after an accident.
So...if you bypassed the circuit...
