I took the shifter out while it was in reverse. took the top off, now its stuck in 1st (better than reverse I guess) does anyone know how to line it all back up again so its in neutral and I can be on my way?

Shove the synchronizers into their Neutral positions. This shows them in an NP435:

I belive it is srod. what im going to try tomorrow is to set the cover into neutral with the shifter. then I should be able to see where the forks will ride. its been very fiddly to get the cover back on. if its in neutral it should be easy.....maybe?

Default All fixed!

took it to a professional, he fixed it quickly, and told me never to take the cover off again.
