Talking Who to buy lift kit from?

Hello all, I am planning to lift my 1992 F150 xlt 4wd 4 inches. I plan to do the whole nine yards (new leaf springs, absorbers, springs, arms, etc.). I've heard mixed opinions on who makes the best out of the box, made to fit kit. I was planning to go with rough country and I have heard great things about quality, convenience, and dependability but then some say they are cheap and fragile and that skyjacker is the way to go. This is NOT a prerunner build, I just want something gets me the 4" lift and provides a smoother ride than stock without breaking the bank. Opinions?

The only truck of this era with a lift kit I have ever ridden in and thought "yes that rides as well or better than stock" was a truck with a BDS lift that had all the upgrades. But generally speaking any kit with extended radius arms and lifted springs (no blocks) should work out fine. Avoid the RC lift lit, the radius arm drop brackets tend to cause cracks in the frame at the mounting point.

Basically, spend the money and do it right. If you haven't spent 2k on everything then it's probably a crappy kit.
