Default 1987 f150 4x4 front brake slides

Hi everyone,

Hope all are doing fine!

Does anyone know if on a 87 f150 4x4 front brake system if the inboard brake pads that sit in and slide on the spindle castings have stainless inserts that can be installed to take up the slack from years of wear.

When I put the new pads in the slide grooves, they seem very sloppy.

The newer brake systems have stainless slide inserts that are easily replaced.

Thanks to all who respond!

If I'm remembering right there is supposed to be a piece of metal in there that holds them tight.

Pictures are always welcome too!

I looked on RockAuto's site and other than the pins to lock the caliper in place, was the squeelers.
