What purpose do you have for a lowered 4x4? There's a couple different routes, but not really a stand alone kit that I know of. Shorter front suspension and either flip your rear springs to the bottom of the axle or buy a 2WD rear lowering kit.

Is it worth lowering? And will lowering it create other issues?

All modifications will have issues. Some good some bad. You can disconnect the front system and basically treat it like a 2WD, but then you would lose the option of 4x4.

I'm guessing that if it is a 4x4 it probably has blocks in the rear from the factory? Not so sure about flaresides though.
Lowering these trucks is just like lifting them - you can do it a little bit without major mods but once you really go for it you need to start thinking about how it is going to affect the I-beam/steering/sway bars etc. Most lowering kits are designed for 2WD trucks though.
