Default Leaf springs

I have a 94 2WD XLT, and I have to replace both sides. I have a few questions. Has anyone ever ordered a full kit online? Where would you suggest? Also, there is 6 leaves on each side, which I was told is extra. How many is stock? Thanks!

On my 94 2wd I only have 5, and its stock. If you are looking to replace them, your best bet is probably a junk yard. It will take a little extra time/labor, but will save you some money. If you're stuck on getting them online or something, someone else will have to chime in.

As a side note, if you are looking to lift/lower your truck now might be the time to figure it out and buy the correct springs.

Thank you. I'm planning on leaving it stock at least for winter, then I was thinking just AAL and leveling kit.

Make sure that the bushings are ok without old bolts seized in them. I got a used leaf from the junkyard ($50) then ended up buying a new one from JC whitney ($130) easy swap tho

Btw, if your grabbing them from the junkyard 2wd springs are skinnier than 4wd springs (2 1/2" to 3")

no such thing as 12 inch lift springs for a 1/2 ton you would have to find the 8inch springs from skyjacker and then add a leaf and a block to get 12 but thats kinda sketchy just get the skyjacker springs and do a shackle flip search it on here theres lots of info

i just did a 4 inch lift with two inch blocks in the back and now my front is way higher then the back. Im pretty sure its because my leaf springs are broken. i was wondering what the best way to fix this would be. take out the broken spring and replace with an add a leaf, all new lift springs, or three quarter ton springs? any help would be appreciated. thanks

Any pick-n-pull yards near you? Might be able to replace whole thing for cheap?
