Heavy leaf spring upgrade/ factory block removal.
Hello All!
My name is Corey and I'm a new guy around here. I have a question (or 10) for you. I'm currently working on my 93 F150 4x4 and bought new coils for the front and leafs for the back. The coils are 824 and I installed 2810lbs in the rear. The local spring shop told me that 2400lbs are factory for 1/2 trucks and sold me the 2810lbs. Come to find out my truck had the 1655lbs....opps Are the 2810lbs F250 springs? I'm going to remove my factory blocks to get my rake back down. (right now it is around 3.25 inch minus the 2"block should set about right) What do guys do for bump stops once you removed the block with the bump stop rest? Do you just extend the stops down and let them hit the rear end. I have heard some 4x4 had blocks and others did not is this just dependent on the year/spring rate?

I'm interested in any help in this issue also. Just got my 95 F150 4x4 and want to level it out a bit. I'm also planning to toss the 31x10.50x15" tires and go with some 17" tires and wheels. Maybe a 285/75/17
