Default Front end driver side rattling noise

I have a 1987 F150 with a 302 and AOD. I recently had the front brakes worked on - new rotors and pads. Since that work, I've noticed a rattling noise emanating from the front driver side when running on rough road. If i apply the brakes when this noise is present, it goes away and when I release, the nose comes back! I took it back to the shop and they are telling me that all is tight and they cannot find anything wrong - basically don't worry about it. Normally i would not be too concerned with a rattle but given that it seems to be an issue with brakes I am a little concerned here.

So, any ideas or places to start that I could check myself would be helpful.

Thanks

Take it to another shop for a 2nd opinion.

If you want to learn how the brakes work, get a Haynes manual, and read it:

Thanks - I've never worked on brakes before but I'm thinking now is a good time to dig in.
