Front driver's brake line

Front driver's brake line
I need to splice in a section of brake line. The line is covered in a spiral spring wire. Any idea on how to remove the wire? The line is leaking just past the original fitting. I plan to use a double flare adapter replace the fitting and add a connector.
Thanks!
PS Is the ABS module in the front or back (1995 F-150 4wd)? Do I start brake bleed in front or in back?

replace the whole section, cheaper and easier and will last another 20+ years.
ABS unit should be where the master cylinder and the front lines meet along the frame rail, left side, underneath your left foot.
You will need to bleed the ABS as well as the new line.

The front brake line does not go to the abs (RABS - rear anti lock brake system) module.
It goes to the left front brake line, which is a splitter.
Don't try to fix a leaky brake line; just replace it.
Buy a foot of 1 1/4' sewage pipe at the hardware store and wrap the line around it to make the spiral.
You can buy premade 3/16 line at the auto store pretty cheap in lots of lengths. You may or may not have to cut the top fitting off and install the one off your old line.
If you don't lose all your fluid (maybe plug it while you work) you won't have to bleed the back brakes. Bleed furthest away to closest.

I bought a 1991 f150 xlt lariat 5.8 351w and it came with a Dana 44 up front and I have no clue where the original owner got it from and both my lines are leaking where they meet the caliper and of course the head on the bolt that holds the line to the caliper is so chewed the **** up that if I get it off there no way it's ever going back on but I'm having trouble finding brake lines sense I have no clue if he got it from an older f150 or what
anyone know how to tell? Likes some markings on the axle that I can Google I haven't been able to find
anytjung
i looked at the lines I have and the skyjacker FBL93 look like what's down there but not 100% sure and 120 plus shipping is a big guess
