Default coil spring install

im installing the 1.5 inch rough country leveling springs and the bottom "washer" isnt holding the spring tight in place. theres a gap between it and the coil. Am i missing a piece?

Alex, I see you have the same issue I have with my 96. I upgraded my front springs a few years ago. I get a clunk in the front end due to the spring moving around in the bottom mount. It isn't going anywhere but it's annoying to listen to. I haven't researched it much yet. Too many other things I'd rather be looking to upgrade on my truck.

I just installed the 2.5" lift all around, and I can say I didn't have any additional space between coil and the "washer". Can you snug it down any more?
