Question Painting Engine Compartment

I am looking at paiting my truck after I change out my engine and transmission, however, since I would be changing color I want to paint the engine compartment first. But instead of painting it I was thinking about using Rhino Lining. Has anyone done this before or is there some catastrophic reason why it shouldnt be done? I want to go with Rhino Lining instead of paint due to the ease of application (wash and spray instead of wash, sand, wash, primer, sand wash, paint, sand, wash, paint, sand, wash, paint, sand, wash, clear coat, wax), easier cleaning of grime and mud and less worry of chipping the paint if I drop a tool while working under the hood.

Sounds good. Aluminum foil works great to mask around weird shaped items.
