Loosen the belt pulley bolts with the tensioned belt on.Then remove the belt(s) and the pulley bolts and pulley.

Last time I changed one, my impact wrench couldn't loosen the crank bolt. I used a very long breaker bar. Position the breaker bar against the ground or something substantial and bump the starter. That loosened the bolt. Of course, disable the ignition so the engine does start on you. You might have to pull the radiator for additional clearance. Either drain the oil or have a drain pan under the balancer to catch any oil which escapes.Myself, I would paint a stripe on the new balancer to indicate the timing mark before installing.

If the front seal has hardened up, you might want to change it. If it's ok, apply some engine oil to the sealing surface and where the crank slides in of the new balancer before reinstalling.Tighten the bolt to specs.
