Default New truck. With a new rebuilt motor.

So I got a 1981 ford 150 for 1.2k. The guy I bought it from said the motor was a freshly built 302. So as i was driving the truck around it started missing really bad. Long story short cracked head and block on 5 and 6.

Started a motor hunt. found a 302 block out of a 1994 tbird with all the work done for a 331 stroker. He had the crank, pistons, rods, cam, and almost every part of the driveline for the tbird with the deal for 1k.

So now I'm building a 331 stroker with a comp xfi236hr cam, gt40p heads, edelbrock performer rpm intake, valve springs from alexparts. waiting to get the heads on to check and see if the push rods need to be longer with the cam and roller rockers.

I'm kinda new to building stroker motors or running big cams. so if anyone of yall have had any problems with them or know of hints or tips i would love the info.

cam is .579 lift 286/300 duration.
eagle 331 stroker kit all forged
