Question Melted hose @ Intake

Can anyone tell me what this melted hose goes to? I am getting a fault code P0401. Not certain if this has anything to do with it but I have a feeling it does.
I just got this truck a week ago and it came like this.

1996 302 4spd with OD 4x4 (because it matters at AutoZone apparently) XD

If you look closely at the nut at the bottom of the EGR valve, it has black carbon present. It was leaking hot exhaust gases and burned the vacuum line..Being an EGR code, look and see if the line is supposed to connect to the EGR valve. Otherwise, there should be a vacuum diagram sticker under the hood somewhere.Looks like someone did a repair job on that line as the tie rap is not original.

It's the CANP line, and it's too far from the EGR to be affected by a leak there (not that it looks like there's enough leak to notice). Look at the Right side of this pic:

...and put all the truck's details into your signature as this caption explains:

Either click the text above each thumbnail image; or switch to a normal browser (like Chrome); or switch to a computer instead of a phone.

There should be a vacuum diagram sticker under your hood unless someone removed it.I would believe the other end has to be in the vicinty of that melted hose.
