The knock sensor was deleted and a crank sensor added. I would think the crank sensor does multiple jobs. Most newer cars I've seen with a bad knock sensor ping badly and our trucks don't do that. Steve might be correct in that the knock sensor isn't a critical component.

wow didn't know i posted to the middle of this thread.

i know it is a old thread, but i never answered to it. worked out pretty nice till a rod turned loose. he gets the 351w and c4 now.

ok thread is finished, now back to your regularly scheduled program.

i broke the pigtail on my knock sensor and was worried about replacing it but now forget it, nobody sells anyway.
