Default Installing mustang upper on 96 F-150 4x4

I need to know what I may need to put my mustang intake on my truck. So eliminate the twin T bodies for a single. Will I need to swap the ECU? Need a wiring harness? Change throttle cable? Help appreciated!!

I'm in the middle of dropping a Mustang engine into my 95 at the moment. I have an Accufab 75mm TB on a TrickFlow R intake and from what I can tell right now it looks like I may have to build a custom bracket for the cable. I'm going to have to flip the TB upside down so that the cable can function as a "pull" type as opposed to the opposite action like on the Mustangs. I know that may not be much help but i've looked everywhere for this info and haven't found anything very helpful. I'll be glad to share what I learn when I get it working.

Alright! Finally! Lol. I just want to swap heads and intake for now. I plan on building a short block at a later date. All I wanna do is wake this truck up a bit. I know the cam is no hell so that is also in the short block build plan. In the end I would
Like to see 350hp at least no more than 400. At least then it will feel like something for the amount of fuel I'm burning in it!'

I did some work on mine today and I think I found the solution for the throttle body. I picked up a custom throttle bracket from mc-machine.com that seems to solve my issue. I was able to use my existing cable with it. I'm not entirely sure whether there's a difference in the 96 vs the 95 but, assuming it's the same setup, you can just get a tune to work with any upgrades you may make since in 96 the switch to OBDII happened that year so there should be no need to replace the ECU. In my case i'll need to have a chip burned because i'm too lazy to do all the work to switch over to OBDII at the moment. 350-400 is pretty realistic and shouldn't be hard to achieve at all. You can do that with a good HCI and exhaust setup.

I will look into that bracket and most likely order it. I don't want to be part hunting when I make the swap. I need my truck so it's only gonna be down for the day at the most.

A factory mustang intake is garbage compared to the factory truck intake.. The twin tb's flow way better than the single factory mustang.. They flow equal to a single 75mm or so..

And if your gonna put a factory mustang heads on.. Your gaining absolutely nothing.. They are identical to truck heads.. They're all E7 cast heads..

They're still junk cause after you put time, money into porting, polishing, 3angle valve job, sonic checked valve springs etc. into the heads ya shoulda just bought some trick flows..
