I'm back from my Xmas holidays and just spent some time with the truck,, I checked the fuel pressure off the shrader valve again and this time with new fpr it was slot on for wut its supposed to be, then a buddy suggested it was the ignition coil and he gave me a brand new one he had kicking around, thought it might be arcing and cutiing out at higher throttle, well I put it on and took it around the block, couldn't really open up the throttle but it seemed like the dead spot is almost gone, the throttle would only cut out at full throttle or when I floored it, highest I got the rpm was 3000 before it cut out,,, I'm still doing my research but would u hv any new suggestions?

I got to take it for a longer drive, there is throttle response now except when I floor it but its gutless and didn't hv power, it takes a wile to build speed and rpms. It had trouble mostly getting past 60km/h and lots of difficulty getting to 80 and I wasn't able to get it past that

I got a new phone that won't let me post so I'm just editing my last one. I got my hands on a code reader and got codes 327 and 328. So I looked up what I can test and hv so far tested the egr solenoid it has vacuum going in and has correct amount of volts but I'm having trouble testing if it has vacuum going out of it. My initial problem is that the truck dosnt want to accelerate but it needs to be driving and accelerating to do the test. When I did the test I only tried it in 3rd gear going from 35km-70km . My vacuum gauge moved a bit but not to the 5hg it's supposed to have. It looks like it's telling me it's bad but I don't know if my test was accurate cause its having trouble accelerateing. I'm going to move on and test the sensor next to the egr I'm just wondering if anyone has input about my test thx

Edit: my dpfe ( egr sensor) failed it's ground test and has a positive ground so iv already ordered one however I'd still like feedback on my solenoid test cause to me that's a fail but at the same time it didn't want to accelerate and it took some time to climb to the top of 3rd gear
Thx

I recently had the same kind of problem when i changed my fuel pump pressyre was carzy high figured out i linched a return line so follow your return line back to the gas tank and you might find a kink somewhere i went and changed both pumps filters and regulator befor i figured this out felt pretty stupid haha

I got a new phone that dosnt let me post so that is why I havnt updated this thread recently but I am still having trouble with my truck... from my last post the egr solenoid and sensor failed their tests and then I managed to break the studs on the egr when replacing the sensor so I had to get another egr to...it runs incrementally better but now with all 3 replaced but the truck isn't coming up with any codes for me to go off of. fuel pressure is where its supposed to be and I went and checked the timing it is at 10deg adv ...im still stumped by this..

recently when testing the egr solenoid testing the pcm sending the vacume to the egr during acceleration being inconclusive due to the truck not wanting to accelerate.. testing the new one has the same results cause the truck still wont accelerate... could this be the pcm and how do I test that?

same as before theres a click noise and the throttle literally disappears at about half pedal travel or 3000rpm and if I floor it unless its parked in neutral then it just idles terribly and almost dies when the rpm comes down.. also reeks of unburnt gas after driving

thx for any input everything I read is just sending me back to things iv already replaced :/
