Engine will not turn over

Default Engine will not turn over

I drove the truck for 10 min and when I parked it noticed tranny fluid on the ground bout 1/2 a quart and when I patched the problem w some rubber hose and clamps only to find out My engine will not turn over I have a brand new starter and battery and when I hit the key it will not turn over... It will roll back and forth in neutral... and I'm stuck

False alarm I found the problem one of the ground wires was loose on the side of the block...

So what's up with the tranny leak? Where did that come from because a half quart is kinda a big deal lol.

the line comes from the radiator and passes thru the crossmember by the oil pan and just rubbed it raw but I got the skin tight rubber hose and some ky haha to get the hose down the line to the spot and bout 6 or 8 clamps and no more leaky... And checked with a piece of cardboard the last 3 times I drove it

Glad you got it fixed. At first that sounded like a really scary problem because I was thinking that the transmission was froze and would not let the engine turn over. That leak from the cooling lines can happen a lot on older trucks and I am glad that you found and fixed it before you damaged your transmission. Good luck and keep truckin

Oh ok, good thing it was that and not your front pump seal, like i had to replace.......
