Default Engine Swap

I have a 95 f150 5.0 efi Eddie Bauer my question is that I just bought a 81 5.0 carb motor and tranny and waNnamdi build the carb motor and put it in my truck what all would I have to do wiring wise and all

The 95 motor is a roller motor and the 81 isn't. Are you sure you want to put a non roller motor in your truck? Seems like most people want the roller motor vs a non-roller. You can easily switch your efi motor to a carb if you want.

A set of link bar lifters will take care of that issue.

That is true, but when I priced out the cam and lifter to swap for a non roller block to a roller setup it was more expensive that starting with a roller motor in the 1st place. Plus my machine shop recommended stating with a roller block as well. Since he already has a roller in the truck I figured he would be better off with build that motor.

If using carb sys. You will have to wire in a distributor system, or crank trigger. Simple if your electrically inclined! The fuel system will be another problem . You will have to drop the fuel pressure with a regulator,while keeping your fuel pump on. Also carb throttle linkage will probably be Lokar products.
