Engine oil

Most "High Mileage" products that I am aware of are non synthetic. I was not aware of the Mobil 1HM or the Valvoline Maxlife. Looking into the Valvoline product it states that it is a "synthetic blend". You only need 1 drop of something synthetic in the formulation to be able to call it synthetic blend. I am only aware of one product that the mfgr states that it is 50/50 - half synthetic and half conventional.

some of us just like to overpay and get the best or "good for the money" add packs.

I was sadden to find out the 'synthetic blend' oil I 'was' using in my Mustang 'could' have less than a 'cap' of synthetic oil in the 'quart' bottle to still be called 'synthetic blend' . I changed to a different brand

this chart is a few years old, but the pqia has lots of good insight about oil.
lucas products are almost always full of marketing and flash, but are often sub-performing. note the poor TBN and NOACK.
cam 2 is equally abysmal surprisingly. these numbers havent changed a whole lot since 2013.

also interesting to see "big name" oils that are weak on their add pack or just lesser quality...mobil, valvoline, pennzoil are always safe bets for a good synthetic and can always be found on sale by the savvy shopper. sometimes a good conventional like mobil super outperforms a higher dollar oil.
stuff like this is hilarious, but not if you are the poor bastard that uses it! read the labels! this stuff must be poorly recycled oil im thinking. there are very low amounts of wear additives..

have no idea what this stuff is..

High mileage oil a No No
High mileage oil comes in synthetic and conventional oils and YES IT HAS ADDITIVES... These additives are definitely to seal leaks in old worn/hardened seals and gaskets.
DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A SEEPING ISSUE...
If you do, you will have to use ‘High Mileage Oil’ forever or YOU WILL HAVE OIL LEAKS!
You can ask any Automotive Oil engineer or Tech they can and will/should be able to explain what the additives do to a good running engine.
