i really doubt it would be a big deal; but if it were me, i would do it anyways and if nothing else hold onto it as a spare

Need a little more information. What year are the engines and what year truck is it going into? Also what are your goals? (HP, Even Mix, Toy, etc)

The ecu is from a 95 5.0 and I plan on putting an injected 5.8 instead of another 5 liter. Sorry it took so long to reply, I will need lots of help in the coming months for this summer project.

If you can get your hands on the ECU for the 5.8 I'd swap it out. Incase you were wondering, the 5.0's engine harness will work with the 351 engine. I've done a lot of research on this as I would like to swap the 5.0 in my 93 for a 5.8 out of a 95( more horses and torque than a 93 5.8 )

Will an ECU from a '94 EB Bronco swap into a '93 XL long bed (with 5.0L and E4OD)? I have finally gotten the truck together! Swapped the entire front end [axle, sheet metal, 5.8l and E4OD (I rebuilt and added a shift kit), and wiring harness). Initially, I installed all the abs from the Bronco but found I had to switch back to the F150 braking due to having to use the truck harness as I didn't want to mess with splicing the dual fuel tank leads, etc. I also installed the Bronco ecu.

The truck runs beautifully, but... I have no trans engagement at all and its locked up, so I wonder if I put the check ***** in the wrong spot or something else. I'm getting a used trans to swap, but before I do I want to be sure its not an ecu thing. I have read here that there was a change from OBDI to OBDII in these years and wondering if that could be it.

Please help... My painter won't paint it if he has to push it around.

A 1994 bronco will still be obd1. As long as the bronco had an e4od and your truck has an e4od it should work. I'm thinking something went wrong during the transmission rebuild

So am I, picked up a used trans to swap out next weekend if I don't get it rolling tomorrow. Issue for me is that the truck is 200 miles away, but I will swap out if I don't figure it out.

The joy in used transmissions is you don't know how long it will last. I'm hoping the e4od I'll have in my truck in the next week will last me long enough to buy a new manual trans to do a manual swap. 200 miles is a ways to go for a transmission
