Connecting Rod Nut Size

Connecting Rod Nut Size
Hi,
Have to replace a rusty oil pan on my 1989 F-150 with a 302 and wanted to do the rod bearings as well (since the motor has 470,000Km).
Was wondering which size the connecting rod nuts are... so I can buy the right size. Don't have a collection of imperial sockets.
Also, do the factory bearings have STD / size indicators on them? Just in the case the engine turns out to be rebuilt 20 years ago and I put the wrong size in. I thought of measuring the old/new bearings with a micrometer, but not sure what the wear factor (in microns) would be.
And is there a way to get the oil pan out without unbolting the oil pump? Maybe remove exhaust headers for more clearance? I brought a new oil pump, but remember when I did the gasket I couldn't reach one of the two oil pump bolts and get leverage on it, and couldn't get the engine any higher because the exhaust headers hit the body.
Thank you for the help,
Cheers Dan
