Code 411 Self Test Cannot contol RPM
Hello,
My truck has been idling to high, when I ran the KOEO test I got 111 and
111, but when I ran the KOER test I got 411; "Engine speed to low".
It said to: "Cure induction leaks".
Is that referring to air leaks that are causing the air-fuel mixture to be out of sync?
I use to use a small flow of propane, or carb. spray to locate air leaks at
the carb. base, or intake manifold 20 years ago, is there any reason not
to try it with fuel injection?
Thanks, ward74

Chris,
I should have mentioned that I checked the vaccum lines before I did any tests and replaced one. I always use either a vacuum gauge, tach. or both when I check for vacuum leaks. The propane will cause a quick slight rise in RPM's, and the carburetor spay will cause a quick drop in RPM's and a rise in vacuum. I use to be able to hear the RPM's increase, but I can't anymore. I wanted to be sure there wasn't any seals or plastic pieces the carb. spray would mess up.
Thanks for your response, Ward
