check engine light comes on and ..........
then the trans slams hard into gear.
why is this happening? What do I replace? and where do I find the part (on the truck) to replace?

Having similar problem. I don’t want to hijack thread but I’m new to this forum and was reluctant to start another “check engine light” thread. Mine doesn’t really slam into gear and light only comes on after engine is hot. And, the light is intermittent but when it comes on the truck seems to be having trouble with the transmission, specifically the Odrive.

still no luck
I have changed the throttle position sensor (no luck) and the air bypass valve (because of a rough idle) ....now the check engine light comes on only in the afternoon when I get off of work, it will stay on for about 10 miles and then go off. any ideas????????????
