Engine leaks coolant after sitting for awhile.
So I have a 1996 F-150 Truck that leaks coolant from passenger side front of motor. I have had it pressure check and passed. Truck has new water pump and thermostat. Engine runs good but the temp gauge does fluctuate but never overheats. It seems to only leak when it has been sitting for awhile. Thanks for your help.

You either have a 5.0 or 5.8, you didn't mention.Best bet is to clean up that area and see if you can find the source. The many possibilities are freeze plug, your new water pump, timing cover gasket(? not sure if applicable on v-8) head gasket and hose connection. The temperature fluctuations you describe could be air remaining in the system after the water pump was changed. I am dealing with same issue on an old Mercury(3.8) which only leaks after sitting a few weeks. I am still looking and haven't found where.

Put ALL the truck's details into your signature as this caption explains:

Use a coolant pressure tester to find small leaks:

They can sometimes be rented/borrowed from parts stores.
