91 f150 oil pressure problems
So I have a 91 f150 with a 302. The oil pressure gauge reads normal pressure until about 20 minutes of driving when it starts acting crazy. At idle it reads no pressure and the pressure goes back up when I start driving. If I floor it the pressure drops again. I noticed no difference in performance and it makes no noises. I replaced the pressure sending unit. Any suggestions?

The dash gauge is more of an idiot light type of thing with an electrical sending unit. Not an accurate gauge.
The only way to tell for sure what the pressure is doing is to screw a real oil pressure gauge into the sending unit hole in the block.
That would tell you if you actually have a problem worth worrying about.
An electrical gauge malfunction could be caused by any number of things, even as simple as a bad ground somewhere. So, not a very accurate indicator.
