5.8 required a 5.0 oil filter

Thank you for the additional responses! I'll check these areas out this weekend when I continue my tune-up. Really my only concern is putting in the right parts, so knowing for sure will be reassuring.

Okay so this tells me that the parts store recommended me a filter for the oil cooler, assuming that's what came with it or maybe missed that note on his screen. The part I put back in is the FL1A equivalent, which makes sense.

Oh yeah I wan't trying to say there was any differences, more just pointing out why there might be confusion at the parts house

Right - I was just explaining why the parts books show a difference for that year. And yes, many parts books have many errors (like not mentioning the part only applies to V8 oil coolers).
