I have a 92 f150 with a 5.0 i/ AOD in it. Exact motor modifications unknown but I see heads , and intake. From the little bit it does run I'm guessing a cam.
runs like trash and my plugs are black, won't idle ext.
Looks like it was MAF at one point but it's currently speed density.
My local junkyard has a 95 5.8 truck. I know i need the computer, engine wire harness and Injector harness and a maf.
anything else I need to grab?

No, MAF was not available in '92. Taking it farther from stock will only make it harder to diagnose, repair, & maintain. I'd look to bring it BACK to stock first, then into getting it running right. If you still feel the need to modify it at that point, always begin your mods on something that works so that you can tell how your mods affect it (better or worse).
But when I fixed this '93 that wasn't running at all, there was no need to do anything more - I didn't even rebuild the engine.

did it ever run right or you picked up the truck with zero info just running rough? What makes you think it was MAF? Should run good SD with heads and intake... adding a cam might on SD would prob no go good
afr heads, intake cold air, and some cam I don't know the specs of.
