Default 1990 with 5.8 cranks but wont start

Hey everyone i just picked up a F150 from some friends and trying to figure out whats going on. They gave it to me as a trade for working on there other cars. It wouldnt start on them one day so its just been sitting the past 6 months or so.

So i just replaced the battery, fuel filter, and fuel pump relay and still wont start. It gets spark but when i take off the fuel rail fitting it gets absolutely no fuel.

Ive tried switching the tanks and still gets no fuel. My guess is the actual EEC itself is bad? I took it out and apart and dosnt looked burned but it did have moisture in it so ill be replacing that.

Any other ideas?

Maybe the fuel pumps are bad. It's a common problem. When you first turn the key you should hear the pump run for about 10 seconds.

Unplug the harness at one of the fuel tanks and check for power.

Is the harness easy to get to from underneath the truck? Im debating just removing the whole bed for ease of access till i get this resolved. Just put in a different EEC i picked up from a junk yard and still nothing. Dont hear the pumps with either.

Check the inertia switch. Even if it's not popped, you can check for power.
You'll have to check a wiring diagram but I believe power should go from relay to inertia to dash switch to pumps. Dash switches are pretty common culprits.

Where is the inertia switch on f150's? I know on the cars its in the trunk. The dash switch to switch tanks could cause both tanks not to get power? Where is the best place to order one of those from? When i switch tanks the fuel level gauge does move to how much fuel is in each tank.

In the general area there's a post by just call me sean on checking codes on OBD1. In the pic with all the green arrows you will see how you can ground the pumps to force them on. Try that to see if you can get them to work. All you need is a short piece of wire.
