Here are some pix
The first pic shows the base where the distributer enters the block with the clamp and bolt in place.
The second pic shows the base where it enters the block with the clamp removed to show the bolt positioned in the notch at the base of the distributer. This prevents any timing adjustment by rotating the distributer.
The third shows the same location with the bolt removed. Notice how the bolt hole overlaps over into the notch.Fourth pick shows note on the side that says it cannot be timed.
Fourth shows the distributer out of the engine. Notice, no vacuum timing diaphram and no wire connections.

Here are the pix
The first for show why the distributer cannot be timed without modification, The fifth pic shows the distributer out of the engine. There is clearly no centrifugal or vacuum timing advance. There also no wires or connectors.
Any ideas what I have? and how this thing works?

Ignition control module question
One more thing. The original ignition control module was a Motorcraft Duraspark D9DE-12A199. It is a 5 wire module. I replaced it with a Borg Werner BWG CBE11. This is also a 5 wire module with the proper mating connections. Is this the correct replacement part? or is there something that will work better?

You are looking for the SPOUT connector that has to be disconnected to set the timing , it may be near the ignition module taped to the harness or I vaguely remember some being inside by the glove box .
