Guys, my 92 inline 6 has been leaking oil. It has been coming from the lowest point (farthest forward) on the bell housing so my initial thought was the rear main, but there's no oil coming from that connection. After a little investigation the whole side of the block, on the drivers side, is darkened with oil. I'm fairly certain then it's either my valve cover gasket or the head gasket. I have no smokey exhaust nor do I see water in my oil so I'm inclinded to think valve cover. Having said that, I understand my Chevy 3.8L more intimately than my 4.9 so I wanted to get all of your opinions first.

Any thoughts? Likely a different part entirely?
