TRouble with IAC
I have a 93 f150 with 4.9 liter,I recently changed tps and IAC because the truck would go into high idle after it warms up and stays there. The idle I'm guessing is around 1500 rpm or higher,if I unplug the IAC after the truck is warm it idles nice but does'nt run the smoothest at any speed. It acts like a miss or starving for fuel. The IAC IS ELECTRIC,what controls the signal to it?

The PCM (main computer) controls the IAC.
The current it sends to the IAC is based on the input it gets from all the other sensors.
You're best off to pull your codes (you can do that yourself, no special tools) and see what the computer tells you is wrong before you replace any other parts.
It's just like if you could open the hood, stare at the motor and ask it "what's wrong with you ?" It will try to tell you.
