Turbo Charging
Hey guys I need some insight on turbo charging. I have a 1988 F150 with a straight 6 and I want to turbo it not sure if I should go twin or just a t3/t4 setup. I am not trying to make astronomical power but just more than I have now maybe 300horse? Someone please give me some insight. Please!!!!1

I have seen this car on YouTube and its pretty incredible. This is my idea I'm not sure if you have ever heard of Aussie Speed Peformance but I want to take their technology and bring it here! All it is that they put the intake on the other side which would work great for power. Plus having that type of head would make a world of difference. I have seen some trucks that have had turbos on them but they are the remote type. I am not a big fan of having oil lines everywhere but I will do whatever it takes.

This thread had alot of head scratching on the subject, I don t think the remote mouth is needed with the inline six, keep it simple, blow thru Carb, and it would be crazy fun.

That is what I was thinking of doing nothing to crazy but not sure if I need to upgrade my carb to something a little bigger. I'm not looking to for anything nuts just a t4 setup possibly.

Not to big of a fan of Holley I'll stick with my Edelbrock but anyways. I found a kit that has the intercooler pipe, gauges, clamps and turbo for close to a grand which I thought was a little steep but its not to bad. I have seen people use turboes off like 7.3s and stuff but thats like a t7 turbo which is way to much. I like to do what people say is impossible and make it a reality.

I have a banks sidewinder turbo i've thought about putting on something. Bought it used for my 93 7.3 and never did anything with it.
