EGR help!
So I was trying to remove the EGR valve from my 1989 f150 with a 4.9l. But the EGR valve broke and part of it is still stuck in the nut that goes connects the exhaust to the EGR. And of course I cannot find a new EGR tube for sale anywhere. I just need ideas on how to get that little bit of EGR out of the nut.
I have been spraying the nut with penetrating oil a few times a day for about a week. And today was when it broke.

Take the tube & your wrenches to a welder. Have him weld something that can be clamped into his vise into the broken piece, and then you unscrew the nut while it's still hot.

worst comes to worst, and you need a new tube, look up this part number: F4TZ9D477C
I had to replace the tube on my '89 and couldn't find the part til I got this PN. Here's a link to one on amazon also:

About bad EGR value!
In many cases I can drive the vehicle with a failed Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve. However, sometimes the engine may run so poorly and cannot drive the vehicle. If you guyz are hearing a ping or rattling type noise from the engine you should not drive the vehicle.
