Default 94 Inline 6 hard cold starts

I have a 94 inline 6 with just under 100k miles, been fixing up the truck for the past few months. New plugs, wires, coil, rotor, rotor cap, battery, and alternator. Truck has started hard since I got it, although recently it has gotten a little worse. taking sometimes 4-5 seconds of cranking to start in 70 degree weather. Has an intermittent misfire at idle as well. Once truck has warmed up, truck fires in only a couple cranks. I suspect a fuel pressure issue but have not done much investigating. Any guidance on what to test first?

Somewhat similar problem with my 5.0L, remedied by rolling the key from Off to On a couple-three-four times before going on to Start, going for that couple-three-four fuel pump primes rather than the one.

Guessed that some kind of check valve somewhere wasn't holding, allowing fuel to drain back into the tank.

Never got ambitious enough to sort it out, though. Truck rarely sat long enough for it to be a regular problem.

Ill try that tomorrow morning. My only concern is winter time, if its that hard to start now, the Ohio winter will make it much worse.

The problem will get much worse during winter temperatures. Hang a gauge and make sure you have 45-60 psi of pressure on the rail. Also make sure the pressure holds for a long time after shutdown.
