Question 5.0L to 4.9L Engine Swap

I have a 1991 Ford F-150 4x4 EFI with an automatic transmission and automatic locking hubs. I'm wanting to know how difficult it would be to replace my 5.0 that is in the truck now with a 4.9. I have a 1989 F-150 with the 4.9 I6 and I absolutely love the motor and the power. I have a guy that is going to give me a 4.9 and I would really like to swap. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I always thought the thing that makes swapping the hardest is trying to put an engine in that does not fit. Since the truck is made to take both, I don't see a problem. I would assume you would switch the wire harness and pcm also. I guess there would be a bit of transmission and drive shaft issues also.

My dilemma is is there a computer for a I6 with automatic locking hubs. Wouldn't I need that or would the regular I6 computer work?
