Default fuel delivery (maybe)

1993 F150 300/6 5 spd standard
acts like out of fuel sometimes.
Fuel level, engine temp has no bearing.
Using rear tank only.
Truck is new to me 1 month.
Engine will stumble/almost stall as in out of fuel.
If at low speed, push in clutch to avoid full stall,
nurse gas pedal (dunno if this helps) engine will regain power.
Happens 2 -3 times then not again for 2 days.
Happened 3 times today. Getting worse.
Need to get to work in traffic! Tips please.
Thank you.
