This is the real issue I have with all of them. There is no reason (other than the obvious profit) to charge what they do for these bulbs.
Do I like them much better than stock? Yes.
Enough to pay at least $45 for a pair? Only if I already have one blown and need to buy some anyway.
However, I did just snag one hell of a deal on some new ZXEs from a forum member. Couldn't pass up paying less than half price for them.

I buy all my Philips bulbs for around $25 a pair on ebay.

The silver stars are a pretty good halogen bulb, may have a degraded life but a little more output.
