Tired of my stock 06 F150 headlights
The stock bulbs in my 06 F150 are just not cutting it anymore and it's getting to a point where I hate driving with them at night.
I've read quite a bit on these forums and by the sounds of it these are the options I'm left with:
- Brighter halogen bulbs for the stock housing
- Buy an HID kit and retrofit my stock housing (Not particularly looking to do this)
- Buy a whole new housing with LED/HID bulbs
I'd really like to have HID headlights but I don't really have the time/tools to do a retrofit myself. Is my best bet to take it to someone to do for me? Or can I order completely new housings made for HID bulbs and simply plug-and-play with these new housings?
Additionally, I have a 6 inch lift and 35" tires so obviously if I get HID/LEDs I'd need to have them done properly so as to not blind everyone on the road around me

Refinish the lenses with urethane and put new bulbs in. Cost $50 at most.

Your best option is projector HID, they will cost a penny and someone can do all the work for you but youre looking at $450-$800. Well worth it though, i am having retrofit done on my 08.

I'm not sure what type of driving you do but have you also considered aftermarket auxiliary lighting? I have a set of lights that are on a switch but tied to the high beams. Low beams, everything is stock so no issue to surrounding traffic but when I hit the high beams I light up everything. It's like driving with the sun at your back.
