Default Are these HIDS worth the price

I am not sure what the difference is with the DR1 compared to stock. Tried googling it and I kept getting sale ads for them.

Let me know what you think about these. I can get a brand new set for about that price with everything.

The ad doesn't mention anything about the harness that you would need.

Good price. D3S is what most OEM applications are using these days. They are the "environmentally friendly" bulbs. Based on performance, my understanding is the following:

D3S < D1S < D2S

So they are already upgraded to D1S, which is better than what you will get from D3S, but not as good as if they were D2S. D2S has a lot more bulbs to choose from as well.

I just learned a bit myself. I guess the biggest difference is the igniter. D2S is just the most common for aftermarket/retrofit solutions.

That is the same company I bought my hid's from a year ago, mine were new and came with the TRS harness but I paid $1,300.00 for the set. I see he's including the harness as well, I would jump on that deal.

Good karma with that seller.

Ouch on the price but I'm glad to hear the lights are top notch quality. They are also listing HID's with the standard bulb am with no ballasts for $700 (when they go on sale). Is This upgrade really worth $200. I have no experience with HID's.

The rest of the packages they sell come with the retrofitssource wiring harness which a member on the forum build and sells I believe.

I have oem lights not upgraded and the difference between them and the halogen that came with my truck is literally night and day. I think oem ballasts are a bit high from the dealer. If it were me I would get the complete units that are upgraded.

If I had the coin right now these would be gone.

What exactly was upgraded? Just the bulbs? Or the ballasts too? And you're saying the factory lamps can accept D3S, D2S, and D1S bulbs?
