Default Switched to AC ballast and bulbs are white now

I posted a while ago about my HID's flickering even with load resistors, I just replaced the ballast to slim AC digital ballast, much much better now no more flickering at all but my lights went from the blue to white, I have the 35 watt 6000K, If i switch to 8000K bulbs will i get the blue color back? the Blue looks better, Is 8000K just the color of the light or is it brighter too?

Second question now that I replaced to AC ballast from DC ballast can i remove the load resistors? That second wiring loom for the load resistors is alot of cluttler.

Today I removed the load resistor and canceller without any flickering issues returning, The slim AC digital ballast are awesome, why did they even sell me the DC ballast in the first place and make me go through all the hassel of installing load resistors and cancellers? Going to get some more slim AC digital ballast for my fog lights and get some 8000K bulbs for the headlights the blue looks much better.
