My 2 cents (I just installed the same). Factory dust covers will fit, I originally put mine back on. The wiring etc will coil inside just fine. However, I did that and then got to thinking and decided that, knowing these get hot, I wanted a bit more air space for cooling and also to keep the wires away from anything hot. I ordered some extended covers from Amazon, pulled the wires out a bit and put the extended covers on
Not seen or heard of any heat issues related to dust covers. Only fitment for the cheaper LEDS with huge fan assemblies. Better technology comes with more compact fans and less heat.

Good to know. I was really doing it out of an abundance of caution (and lack of desire to get in there again LOL)
