Spyder Projectors with LEDs?

I just got a pair of the Spyders for a 2015+ in today to play with. I like the look compared to the Anzos. I'll PROBABLY stick with my Anzos but not 100% sure yet. I want to put them side by side on my truck (1 side anzo, 1 side spyder) to see which I like better.
As Harley said the high beam is a non-projector, which is probably so you get more light thrown out (projectors won't throw as much light, it's a CLEANER light but for high beams you don't need that cut-off).
So we'll see how I like either one. I plan to put LEDs in the Spyder to compare against the anzos I have now which have LEDs

[QUOTE=Vycor;5541539]Here is a photo I took last night of the Anzos w/LED. You can see the High Beams DO work but they don't throw a LOT of extra light. So that's why I'm curious how the Spyders will do
Are those the G9's or XHP series? I think I remember you have the XHP series. Any chance now that you are looking at changing out headlights that you could do a side by side of the XHP VS G9 series?
Oh and just throwing this out there, if you decide to get rid of one the sets your testing either Anzo or Spyders I would be happy to buy them off you. I think I am definitely going to go with the G9 series.

I have CREE XHP70 bulbs in my low beam so that's what those are in the above photo.
So I didn't swap out the entire headlight tonight, because frankly... I didn't want to. I installed an extra set of LED bulbs I had laying around and tested the output... WOW what a bad job Spyder did on the projector. I'll say that. It's not TERRIBLE but compared to the Anzos it's night and day. And we all know the Anzos are not even a high quality projector. But while there was a cut-off it was really meager. It's not a TERRIBLE housing but compared to the Anzos which are what, $50 or so more? I'd rather spend my money on the Anzos. That's why I didn't even install them in my truck. I'll be selling them on eBay or something (the Spyders).
See how the anzos above have that nice projector STEP (there are 2 steps since the photo I posted above is 2 headlights). Here is the SPyder, no real step...
Another issue I had was they used a REALLY TINY H1 bulb for the highs. REALLY? I can understand H1 for lows and H7 for highs but WHY would they use an H1 for highs? It's a tiny bulb. I didn't even bother to take a photo of the high beam, it was a joke compared to the Anzos.... BUT that's why these are less money I suppose. It has a nice look to it. They don't give you a blinker though... meaning no bulb and no actual blinker socket. You have to use your old one. Sooo yeah, I don't get that. But again, you are saving money somehow...

It would appear I have ANZOs in my truck?
They look cool but,as I said light output is disappointing, even with Aftermarket Phillips bulbs.
What is the best/Brightest LED setup for these Headlights?
