Default Spyder headlight, 4x4truck led, cable not long enough?

finally got my bulbs today and seems as if i have ran into a problem. i have to do a little splicing to get the H7 LED bulbs to work with the factory H13 connectors but i'm fine with that. it seems as if the connection between the bulb and the ballast is not long enough for me to mount the ballast and still be able to connect it to the bulb end.

does anyone have any photos of where you mounted the ballast?

And a follow up question. To anyone who is using this combination, or any led bulb with a fan in the base, how did you accommodate the rubber boot on the rear? It seems as if the bottom of the bulb assembly will contact, or come very close, to the inside of the boot which would be counterproductive for a cooling fan.

If the Spyder lights have a projector. I would go with a HID kit over LED. W
Which headlights do you have?

If its the first ones. They are a pretty horrible projector installed in these. See link below.

Gotcha. those have a much better projector than the first ones shown.
While I would have went with an HID, you already have the LED so maybe try something like this.

thanks for the links but i don't think that will solve my problem. my problem is the cable coming from the bulb is only so long, and the same length on the ballast side. i have to mount the ballast somewhere on the truck and I can't seem to find a flat surface that will be close enough to connect the two cables to complete the circuit if you will. i'm going to take the headlights out again this weekend and see if i can come up with a spot. that's why i was hoping someone had a photo of where they mounted their ballasts as i may just be overlooking a prime location.

when i added LED tail light housings (anzo) it was easy to do as there was large, flat areas inside the housing area to attach the resistor to. what would be ideal would be an extension cable to go between the ballast and bulb to allow me more length so i could mount the ballast anywhere i need but i don't know if anyone makes those.
