These things are BRIGHT..... Was not expecting them to be as bright as they are, but I'm not at all disappointed. They are currently in my stock housings which anre not in th best shape ever and seem to give the light a weird dispersion and a somewhat yellow color in photos. In person they are very white. I havent been able to upload any pictures yet but I will as soon as I find my damn cord for my camera.

I would guess that "weird dispersion" you're talking about is probably because the OEM reflector bucket isn't designed for the light source you're plugging into it.

The LED is actually designed for use in bowl reflectors. The dispersion comes from my crappy lenses

Okay, would you be able to post some light output shots against a wall?

Sorry for the newbie question, however do these bulbs go into a standard stock housing? I wasn't thinking of headlights when I bought my truck and now regret not getting HID lights. Would love to upgrade but not for $800 + like I've been seeing online....

Dont be ashamed of newbie questions. We all had them at one point in time. These bulbs fit into what housing they are designed for. For example, my stock bulbs are H13 bulbs, so I bought H13 conversions. You wont spend $800 on conversions to HID or LED any day if you do the straight swap. Now what I didnt realize and I hope this gives the uninformed some knowlege.... If you do a retrofit with projector headlights, You will need H1 or D2S bulbs instead because the projectors are designed for one of those two depending on the manufacture. With that said, I will not be able to do a full retrofit like I had originally intended to do with these but I will still carry on with my project when the time comes. And also to those waiting for output pictures, I am truly sorry I havent posted up any and they will be up shortly.

Thanks brother! So if I understand you correctly I can get an HID conversion kit for about $100 for my basic stock housing as long as I match up the bulbs?

I'm definitely still interested in some output shots against a wall when you find the time.
