Default Rigid 6" single row - Fuse blew on first day!

Curious why this might happen? I wired it up according to their directions, drove around the neighborhood and tested it out. Go to test it out again tonight after adjusting its aim and NOTHING!

Checked the inline fuse that their harness came with and it was blown. Any ideas?

Thanks!

It was wired according to their provided diagram.

Light is Rigid 906212BLK - 6" Single Row midnight edition
The fuse was the 15A one provided in the harness
Eyelets connected to the battery
Light plugged into the harness
Switch connected to the harness

That's all that was stated on the diagram.

Heres a link to the exact set of wiring instructions that were provided in the box:

Check all electrical connections for polarity.....especially at the switch. If you had to drill a hole to run wire thru aluminum, ENSURE a wire hasn't been damaged. ( must use a rubber grommet ). Somewhere you have an open to short. Wouldn't matter if you added a 50amp fuse....until you trace it down and repair, outcome will be the same.

OK thanks!

I'll go over the harness this weekend. I used a hole in the firewall that had a rubber grommet so I don't think it would be that but I'll check.

Are there any spare fuses in our boxes? I haven't checked, but don't fuse boxes usually have a few spares provided?

Thanks again!

You shouldn't be worrying about spare fuses in your box... that light bar setup has nothing to do with your factory fuses (unless you were hoping for a spare). You should just buy a kit that contains lots of different size fuses and keep it in the truck. Also get the tiny fuses as well. Ya never know when you need one
